Short Term Educator Exchange Opportunities for School Leaders

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Leading the Way---Diversity, Engagement, and Global Citizenship Professional development is an important aspect of practice across many disciplines. Living abroad and experiencing life in another culture with your career can be a life-changing and career-enriching experience. Educator exchanges are a unique professional peer-to-peer development opportunity for teachers and school administrators to collaborate within their profession. The opportunity to experience one's vocation in a different location opens the door to new practices, perspectives, and ways of knowing. Teacher exchanges allow educators to experientially gain insight into teaching methods practiced elsewhere. Collaborative international initiatives build programs that benefit students, administrators and teachers, and help foster understanding between peoples and countries. An educator exchange is not over after living overseas—its ripple effects continue to be felt long after the exchange partners settle back into their home country. An exchange extends beyond the teacher, beyond the student and school body. It adds to the strength and resiliency of the school system itself and helps educators navigate in our connected world of 21st century learning. Please join us for a session on short term leadership opportunities to sail your ship in the direction of global citizenship and international community building.
