Today's children are so much more open, sensitive, feeling, in tune, and self-aware than ever before, and because of that the old way of disciplining is not working. Our children have a greater need for expressing who they truly are, therefore it is time to learn a new paradigm of discipline!one that creates connection. We need to change the label of what discipline means. The word discipline is typically associated with the idea of needing them to obey, listen to, and comply to our expectations. Discipline isn't about teaching them how to conform to the world as we know it, it's about allowing them to be who they are and have the space to express that. When we let go of the fact that we need to mould them, our need to discipline falls away. Instead it can become a relationship with open communication where growth, learning, understanding and compassion happen on all sides. This is what our students need. Soulful Discipline means that we keep our end goal for what we truly want for our children always foremost in our mind!to be who they who they are. Here are the 10 keys to Soulful Discipline: 1.
