Although characterized by verbal and physical tics, these children usually present with additional disorders, including ADHD, OCD, sleep/mood disorders, and sensory integration disorder. Life at school and home is very challenging for the child, parents, teachers, and peers when neurological disorders are present. The academic and social impact of TS and the coexisting disorders will be discussed, along with strategies to support these children in the classroom.
